We are nearly at our interim target of 100 members by the 1st of December. We gave 84 people and families signed up yesterday.

200 people in the draw will see our monthly loans being repaid and help cover other maintenance costs.
in addition to our development project costs we have had to repair playground, improve youth playground area and install a grass mulching area. All these cost us c€15,000!. We gave also seen insurance costs rise and maintenance costs in the park.

The park development draw will support the bank and personal loans which the club have taken on to develop and maintain the community park in Strandhill. The club has invested €1.3m in the park since its inception and is just completing a €250,000 project. The latest project will see a floodlit community walkway, spectator facilities and convert the park into an environmentally friendly park - called ECO Park.
The 50/50 draw is very simple. 50% of the income is paid out in prize money each month !. This is unusual as it is a high percentage but the club wants to ensure good prize money for those joining the draw.
The draw only costs €10 each month - the equivalent cost of a cup of coffee each week !.
Our target is to get 200 people so that we can service the debt on the park development and ongoing maintenance costs. We will publish progress each week and there will be a progress board up on the clubhouse. Join NOW and help the club make its target !.

While the draw is only just launched the club had its first draw this weekend for those early bird entrants. The winners were:

The draw takes place on the first Thursday of the month in the Strand Celtic Clubhouse, subject to COVID guidance. Winners will be contacted by phone and will be published on the club website..
