Congratulations to our former senior and youth players Lee Wilson, Daniel Gray Harrigan and Conor McKeown who recently won the u19 shield title in Athlon with sligo rovers u19.

the lads all came through the youth system with Strandceltic graduating to our senior team. Their fine displays with our youth and senior tram brought them to the attention of sligo rivers where they signed for the u19 squad. The lads also won schools honours with summer hill college.

unfortunately with covid it made for a stop start and difficult year for the u19 elite league. Despite this the three lads showed their talent and won the shield title.

the club are always delighted to see young players go into the sligo rivers youth system. In the event that the players do not move into senior LOI football then we believe they come back to our senior and youth squads as better players. As we invest in our senior squad to get back to the top table we believe this serves both the player and our club well.
