Our new community walkway is open and lit every night during the lockdown. It is lit from 5pm to 10pm each night.
the walkway is 500m long. So ten circuits gives you 5km!.
we hope it will help people through this difficult period. All we ask is that people respect the public health rules and social distancing.
the walkway was developed by the club with support from sports capital, leader, clann credo and our members.
you can support our park by joining our 50/50 draw which all goes to help us pay for the cost of developing and operating the park.

The draw only costs €10 each month - the equivalent cost of a cup of coffee each week !
Our target is to get 200 people so that we can service the debt on the park development and ongoing maintenance costs. We will publish progress each week and there will be a progress board up on the clubhouse. Join NOW and help the club make its target !
When you have signed up we are encouraging everyone to use the hashtag #StrandhillIveSignedUp to use on their social media and to promote the draw
The draw takes place on the first Thursday of the month in the Strand Celtic Clubhouse, subject to COVID guidance. Winners will be contacted by phone and will be published on the club website.
The park development draw will support the bank and personal loans which the club have taken on to develop and maintain the community park in Strandhill. The club has invested €1.3m in the park since its inception and is just completing a €250,000 project. The latest project will see a floodlit community walkway, spectator facilities and convert the park into an environmentally friendly park - called ECO Park.
The 50/50 draw is very simple. 50% of the income is paid out in prize money each month !. This is unusual as it is a high percentage but the club wants to ensure good prize money for those joining the draw.
We now have 90 people signed up so please pass on the message on your social media and help get all the community behind the park development
